- base fare: the price for pickup
- time: from start to end of trip
- distance: miles or kilometers of route
- surge pricing (if applicable)
- tolls (if applicable)
This amount is charged to the rider.
Your payment for the trip is calculated as: ((base fare + time rate + distance rate) * surge multiplier)) - Uber fee + tolls .
The fare shown in your app is charged to the rider. This fare includes the Uber fee, which is a percentage of your total fare that helps cover operating costs, including technology, development of app features, marketing, and payment processing for drivers.
We deduct the Uber fee from the trip fare. The total payout shown in your payment statement will not include the Uber fee, which is deducted from your trip fare.
